Adhering to the Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines, this course requires a minimum of 3 contact hours in the classroom, making it suitable for a half-day session. The syllabus covers key subjects including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Primary Survey, Recovery position and choking.
The qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement, with annual refresher training recommended. A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated, and all candidates must be a minimum of 14 years of age to qualify.
